SSC Steno 2025: Last Day to Apply for Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Exam at ssc.gov.in – Correction Window Opens July 1. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close the application process for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2025 today, June 26. Interested candidates can submit their applications on the official website – ssc.gov.in.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 261 stenographer vacancies.
According to the official schedule, the application correction window will be open from July 1 to July 2. A correction fee of ₹200 will be charged for the first modification and resubmission of the application form. If candidates make corrections and resubmit the form a second time, they will be required to pay ₹500. These correction fees are applicable to all candidates, regardless of gender or category.

How to apply for SSC Stenographer exam 2025
- Go to ssc.gov.in.
- Open the application tab and select the examination name.
- If you are a fresh candidate, click on the registration link and create a one-time registration (OTR) profile.
- Now, login and fill the application form.
- Upload documents and pay the application fee.
- Submit your form.
- Take a printout of the confirmation page.
SSC Steno 2025: Selection process
The SSC Stenographer computer-based examination is scheduled to take place from August 6 to August 11, 2025.
The test will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions covering three sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension.
The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
SSC Steno 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university on or before the cut-off date of August 1, 2025, are eligible to apply for this examination.
SSC Stenographer examination 2025: Application fee
The application fee for SSC Steno 2025 is ₹100. However, women candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and eligible Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from paying the fee.
