APPSC has announced the Group 1 Mains Result 2025, shortlisting 182 candidates. Interviews to be held from June 23 to 30 — full details here.
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released the Group 1 Mains Result 2025 on its official website, psc.ap.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now view and download the result PDF.
A total of 182 candidates have qualified for the next phase of the selection process. These candidates will proceed to the interview or oral test round, scheduled between June 23 and June 30, 2025. The commission has stated that individual call letters will be issued shortly.
APPSC Group 1 Selection Process
The recruitment process for Group-I Services includes the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
- Interview
- Document Verification
The Main examination, held in a descriptive format, took place from May 3 to May 9, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM at four designated district centres.

APPSC Group 1 Mains Exam Structure
The Mains examination consisted of seven papers, two of which Telugu and English are qualifying in nature. The remaining five evaluative papers include:
Paper 1: General Essay
Paper 2: History and Culture
Paper 3: Polity, Law, Ethics, and Governance
Paper 4: Economy and Development of India and Andhra Pradesh
Paper 5: Science, Technology, and Environmental Issues
Each paper is worth 150 marks and has a duration of three hours. The five evaluative papers collectively carry 725 marks, while the interview round is allotted 75 marks, bringing the total to 800 marks (excluding qualifying papers).
