CCRAS Group A, B & C Selection Process 2025
The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) will recruit candidates for Group A, B, and C non-teaching posts through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and, for Group A posts, an interview. Here’s a concise breakdown:
Group A Posts
(Examples: Research Officer – Ayurveda, Pathology, etc.)
Selection Stages:
- CBT: 70 marks
- Interview: 30 marks
- Final Merit: Based on total score (CBT + Interview)
CBT Pattern:
- Subject Knowledge – 70%
- Research Methodology – 15%
- General Knowledge, Reasoning, IT, English – 15%
Shortlisting for Interview:
- 1 post: Top 5 candidates
- 2 posts: Top 8 candidates
- 3 or more posts: Up to 3 times the number of vacancies
Minimum Qualifying Marks in CBT:
- SC/ST/PwBD: 25%
- Others: 30%
Tie-breaking Criteria:
- Higher marks in subject section
- Older age
- Earlier date of qualifying degree
- Higher marks in qualifying degree
Group B and C Posts
(Examples: Assistant, Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, LDC, UDC, MTS, etc.)
Selection Stage:
- Only CBT – 100 marks
- Final Merit based solely on CBT score
- No interview
CBT Pattern:
- Subject-Specific Knowledge – 70%
- General Awareness, Reasoning, IT, English – 30%
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- SC/ST/PwBD: 25%
- Others: 30%
Negative Marking:
- 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer
- No negative marking for MTS posts
Common Requirements for All Posts
- Document Verification: Original certificates (age, qualification, category, experience), valid ID proof, NOC (if applicable)
- Biometric Verification: At exam entry/exit, and before interview or final joining
- Score Normalization: If CBT held in multiple shifts
