The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has opened the application window for 2,119 vacancies, including posts such as Jail Warder and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). DSSSB Recruitment 2025: Vacancy Details
A total of 2,119 vacancies have been announced, including 1,676 posts for Jail Warders, which require a Class 12 qualification. The remaining positions are for Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) and technical roles such as Lab Technician, Horticulture Supervisor, and Ayurvedic Pharmacist.
The recruitment will be carried out under the applicable reservation policy, with 892 posts for unreserved candidates, 558 for OBC, 312 for SC, 148 for ST, and 209 for EWS categories. Age relaxation is applicable as per norms—3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST applicants.
DSSSB Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
For Jail Warder positions, applicants must have completed Class 12 and fulfill the required physical standards: a minimum height of 170 cm, chest measurement between 81–85 cm, and successful completion of a physical endurance test—which includes a 1600-meter run in 6 minutes, a 13-foot long jump, and a 3.9-foot high jump.
For PGT roles, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree along with a B.Ed qualification. Technical posts such as Lab Technician require a B.Sc degree along with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
Selection Process & Salary
The selection process includes a written examination, followed by a physical efficiency test specifically for Jail Warder posts. Candidates who qualify will be offered a salary based on Pay Level-3, ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 for Jail Warders. PGT and other higher-level positions will receive pay as per the 7th Pay Commission guidelines.
