IBPS PO MT XV Eligibility Criteria 2025
- A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Computer Literacy: To be eligible for the job and to take the IBPS PO exam (which is conducted online), it’s important to have a good understanding of how computer systems work.
- Language Proficiency: Moreover, it is preferred that candidates have strong verbal and written skills in the official language of the State/UT. The ability to read, write and speak the language fluently is essential.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This would consist of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Negative Marking (Prelims & Mains): In the Objective Tests, a penalty of one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer. However, no marks will be deducted for questions that are left unanswered.
Phase-II: IBPS PO Interview
After clearing the mains examination, candidates are called for a personal interview, which carries a total of 100 marks. To qualify, candidates must score at least 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories).
The interview usually lasts around 15–20 minutes and is conducted by a panel of bank officials. Candidates are asked questions related to their background, the banking industry, current events, general awareness, and other relevant topics. It is important to attend the interview in formal attire, remain confident, and carry all necessary documents.
The final merit list is compiled based on performance in both the mains exam and the interview, with 80% weightage given to the mains and 20% to the interview.
