RPSC RAS Main Exam 2024-25 Commences Amid Protests Across Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Mains Examination 2024-25 began on June 17 at various centres across the state, despite protests from a section of aspirants. Thousands of candidates appeared for the exam under tight security and strict guidelines. The examination will continue until June 18. The first session was conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second session is scheduled from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Protests Continue Amid Exam
For the past week, several aspirants have been urging a postponement of the RPSC RAS Main Exam, citing concerns that the final results of the RAS 2023 cycle have not yet been announced. They argue that the current Mains examination should not proceed until the previous cycle is fully completed.
However, despite the protests and public appeals, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) chose to conduct the exam as planned. Admit cards were released on June 14, reaffirming the commission’s decision to move forward with the scheduled dates.
RPSC’s Response
In response to the ongoing protests, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) filed a caveat in the Rajasthan High Court, requesting that no interim relief be granted without first hearing the Commission’s viewpoint. This preemptive step was taken to address any potential legal challenges against the conduct of the RAS Mains examination.
Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates are required to carry their original Aadhaar card (in colour print) for verification at the exam centre. In cases where the photo on the Aadhaar card is unclear or outdated, they must also bring an additional valid photo ID such as a driving licence, passport, or voter ID with a recent colour photograph. Entry to the examination hall will not be allowed after the designated reporting time.
So far, the RPSC has not made any changes to the exam schedule or issued a response to the ongoing protests. With the Mains examination now in progress, attention has shifted to ensuring the smooth conduct of the remaining sessions and anticipating the timeline for the final results.
