WB Police Constables Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details

  • Constable: 3464 posts
  • Lady Constable: 270 posts

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have cleared the Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. They should be between 18 and 30 years old to be eligible.

WB Police Constables Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The selection process for the post of Constables/Lady Constables in the Kolkata Police includes qualifying the Preliminary Written Test, which serves as a screening examination. This is followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Examination, and Interview, all of which will be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.

Application Fee

All categories, except Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only), are required to pay ₹170/- as the application fee. SC/ST category candidates of West Bengal will need to pay ₹20/-. There is no fee exemption available for SC/ST candidates from other states.
