K TET Qualification Details

For Lower Primary (Classes 1-5) Paper/Category 1:

Pass the 12th grade or its equivalent with at least 45% of the marks.
A two-year diploma in education (special education) from a higher secondary or senior secondary school with at least 50% marks is required.
12th pass (or its equivalent) with at least 45% and a qualifying 2-year elementary education diploma. 12th pass (or its equivalent) with at least 50% and a four-year bachelor’s degree in elementary education (B.El. Ed.)

For Paper/Category II – Upper Primary Schools (Classes 6-8), a graduate degree and a two-year diploma in Elementary Education or a Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC), a 12th grade pass (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.) with qualifying grades Ed) A bachelor’s degree in education (B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com.) with a minimum of 45 percent and a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 percent of the grade point average and a four-year B.A. or B.Sc. B.Sc. or Ed. or B.A. Ed.
